The activities
On a regular Tuesday night we enjoy games, songs, interactive Bible stories, discussions and praying for all sorts of things. Every four or five weeks, we take a break from our usual programme and add in something different. Over the past wee while we’ve made pancakes and chocolate strawberries, done team challenges and created a giant banner with collage and painting.
At the end of every term we invite the children’s family and friends to come along and join us, see a little bit of what we’ve been up to at Good News Club and share some food, drink and chat together.
The children
Children from primary 1 up to primary 7 come along to Good News Club each week. They come from our local primary schools: Balloch, Cradlehall, Duncan Forbes and Smithton and from further afield. We always welcome new members!
The parents and guardians
During Good News Club, we offer tea, coffee, biscuits and company for parents and guardians who bring their children along to the club. Anyone is very welcome to come along and to stay for as long or as short a time as they like.
The team
Good News Club is run by a team of adults and some of the older children who are part of the Barn Church community and live locally.
The big idea!
The
Good News Club team hope that the children who come to the club will
find fun, acceptance, encouragement and friendship and have the
opportunity to find out and decide for themselves about the God of the
Bible and his son Jesus. We hope that through Good News Club
