News From the Walls in Cambodia with OMF

Darren and Susan first of all would like to thank all those who prayed for them whilst they were ill because, as Susan said, they were too ill to pray themselves!  Darren, Elspeth and

Catriona are now virtually fully recovered and have built up their strength but Susan is still weak and not able to get back to teaching – only  being able to get up about 2-3 hours in morning and the same in the afternoon doing shopping.  The head

mistress at the school is trying to take her school class for her and is encouraging Susan to discuss future work to keep her mind active.  Thank God for this lady.

One outcome of all this is that their language study has taken a big step backwards, so this will now be a big time feature to get the language  back to where it was before the illness.

Their neighbours, Sang and Reyvan, became their landlords and consequently are seeing more of the Walls.  Reyvan took Susan down to the market to buy some orchids and is showing her how to plant them, so friendships are developing.  Reyvan has asked the Walls to join them at the beach during Water Festival time (23-25 Nov) so a big opportunity has developed for the gospel – please pray for this.  If time and strength increase, the Walls will investigate holding events at Christmas for moto-drivers and children – please pray for this too.
