Let’s start this
PNB (no prizes for knowing what PNB stands for but do you????) with a
wee competition. There IS a prize for the best alternative name for our monthly
prayer news bulletin now you know the meaning if you didn’t already! Please
send us your suggestions by the end of April and we will choose our favourite.
I can hardly wait!
Since we last wrote we have seen even more of you, our prayer partners, and it
is a real joy to catch up and renew relationships and worship together again.
We are looking forward to more of the same over the next 3 1/2 months in
lots of games, puddings and other treats.
Please pray for the following snippets of prayer points from some of the OMF
church plants throughout Cambodia:
* Please pray for
the weekly Bible studies at Bong Bonn and Srey Mom’s houses in Kutasat (NW
Cambodia). Also for visiting and children’s outreach in Balang.
* Praise the Lord
for 4 new believers and growing bible study groups in NW Cambodia. Praise God
for His protection of one of our single female members during travel and
outreach in new areas. Pray for those who are struggling:
persecution, old habits and busy-ness are the main problems.
* One family pray
for God’s guidance when visiting villages so that they can find people who are
open for the gospel. Pray too for safety & protection. There have been some robberies recently in their area.
* Thank God for one
church’s annual leadership retreat.
* The Christian
funeral of a believer in Prey Cham was a good opportunity for sharing the
gospel in the village. Pray for the 3 weeks of special prayer meetings in preparation for Easter.
Ongoing from last month’s PNB:
* Thank God for his
help and strength in preparation and sharing at each meeting
over the last few weeks. Please pray on for the opportunities below. We
continue to pray that we would both encourage (existing partners) and be used
to challenge to involvement in God’s Mission
* Please pray that
the Lord would use this period as a good opportunity for Elspeth & Catriona
to experience life in Scotland, as well as establishing some good friendships
too
* Please pray for
the new Khmer staff being employed, that the issue of Official visas will soon
be re-started and that the Memorandum of Understanding M0U will be reissued by
mid-May.
* the latest news
from Cambodia is that the staff list has been accepted by the Ministry of
foreign Affairs, so this is something to thank God about
With our love and thankful prayers,
