

The Annual Inspection and Display of the Company took
place at the Barn on Friday 8th May in front of o good audience of
parents and friends of the Company and the inspecting Officer was Walter
Williamson M.B.E ex Captain of 2nd Bo ness Company and now a Brigade
Training Officer. After a varied display of all sections of the Company the
Captain gave a report of the Company’s activities during the session and of the
successes achieved by individual members. As part of their Badge Work Anchor
Boys and Junior Section Boys were given grace jars and the sum of £200 was
raised and a cheque
was presented to Mr Peter Logie of Clic Sargent and he
spoke to the boys and told them how their donation would help other children
who did not enjoy good health.
The Inspecting Officer then thanked the Company for
the invitation to attend the Display and spoke very highly of the turnout of
the Company and of the display and when he had spoken to the boys they all said
how much they had enjoyed the session in the BB which he emphasised had come
from the dedication of the staff of the Company.

Presidents Badges the second highest award a young man
can gain in the Brigade were presented to Craig Cameron Kyle Robertson and
Matthew Macleod and to everyone’s surprise Mr Williamson after praising the 3
youngsters on their
achievement said as he did not really know well enough to
present the award he asked each mother to present the Badge to their son.
Over the weekend of 22 May the Company will be taking
part in the 125 Celebration of the Boys Brigade organised by the Highland
Battalion the company section boys camping at Carrbridge for the weekend and
Anchor and juniors arriving on the Saturday to take part in a Highland Games.
