Our the Autumn Session started with a get-together and discussion
about our weekly charges and outings as we do try to please and
meet the needs of all our members. It was unanimously agreed that
the sum of £3.50 would be paid for the meal each week which would
leave a little over for outings and special events. Rev. Robert
Clelland was a welcome speaker. He was followed by Janice Wilby,
who showed us slides and told us of her visit to Guatemala with Adopt A
Child. The Lunch Club has sponsored a child for many years now so
this was of very special interest to everyone. Dr Max
Donald spoke the following week and then we had Rev S Sutherland showing pictures
of his walk along the shore at Rosemarkie, pointing out all the
flowers, birds, butterflies and wildlife there.
Needless to say we were all amazed at the beauty of creation which is
more or less on our doorstep. We then had Paul McLaughlin Jr
telling us all about New Start. He brought home to us what
a good feeling it is to be helping others and doing God’s Will in
our Community. New Start has grown so much since it was
first started in our area and provides many services, to the needy that
we were unaware of..
So you can see from the foregoing, we try to keep ourselves
up-to-date with what is going on around us and we are always happy to
help in any way we can in spreading God’s Love in our
Community. Should there be anyone who would like to join us on a
Thursday at 12.30pm, either for Lunch or to help, we will be delighted
to see you. Our next meetings are:
