When - Thursdays

What Time - 12.30 - 14.30pm

Where - Friendship Hall at the Barn

Since the beginning of the session in September members have been enjoying a very varied programme.  We started off with Judy

Westwater telling us of her work with street kids and then had our memories put into training by Fiona Smith from the Occupational Therapy Department.  Daniel Robertson spoke before returning to his studies and then we had a fun day trying to recognise old

photographs of members.  We enjoyed Lilian Ross’s return visit telling us stories and poetry.  Lorna Dempster from the Highland Food Bank kept us up-to-date with what is going on in our area to collect food for those in our own community who fall on hard times.  Janet Crummy spoke to us of the wild birds in our garden and showed slides.  Rev Tom Urquhart entertained us with his music and God’s word.  Rev

Andrew Graham from Conon Bridge C of S spoke of God’s love for us all and a welcome visit by John Craw told us of his visit to the

Cenotaph for remembrance day.

At our last meeting in November we are celebrating St Andrew’s day with Harry and Christine Gow.  Rev Calum McInnes is our speaker on 6 December and on 13 December we have our Christmas dinner with entertainment provided by the children from Duncan Forbes school and Culloden Academy.

We have had an average of fifty members each week and unfortunately are missing those who cannot be with us owing to failing health.  Our band of drivers are still colleting members each week from the surrounding area and this is much appreciated by all.  Should there be anyone who would like to join us at any of our meetings, please feel free to come along.
